Walk Like and Egyptian

Ha ha, first time you've heard from me in a looooooooong time. Not a very dedicated blogger, I'm afraid. between drawing, writing, and doing math summer homework, I'v just been too busy. Anyway, I found this cleopatra headress tutorial at shira.net , and i crocheted it out of Needloft craft cord from Walmart. They also have it at Michaels and Joann's. I got my inspiration from there, but i changed the design to make it fit on my head more. Some people (me, actually) don't like to read crochet designs without pictures, but I can at least write one... here goes:

Ch 4, sl st in first st of chain

Ch 3 (for height) 14 dc, join with sl st

Ch 3 (this counts as one of the dc) crochet two dc in each chain from hook. join with sl st

Ch 3 (this counts as one of the dc) [1 dc in first chain from hook, 2 dc in the next] repeat work until you have reached the beginning of the circle, and sl st to join the ring

Ch 3 (this counts as one of the dc) [1 dc in first chain from hook, 1 dc in the next, 2 dc in the next] repeat work until you have reached the beginning of circle, and sl st to join the ring

Ch 3 (this counts as one of the dc) [1 dc in first chain from hook, 1 dc in the next, 1 dc in the next, 2 dc in the next] repeat work until you have reached the beginning of circle, and sl st to join the ring

Ch 3 (this counts as one of the dc) [1 dc in first chain from hook, 1 dc in the next, 1 dc in the next, 1 dc in the next, 2 dc in the next] repeat work until you have reached the beginning of circle, and sl st to join the ring

you might need to add more rows if your head is bigger then mine. Follow the steps at shira.net for the beading...
